Mouth Guards

Clear Aligner Dental Night Guard For Teeth

A severe dental injury can lead to damaged teeth, hefty costs, and cause further health problems down the road. Through mouth guards, these injuries can be prevented. At Dental Care 4 U, our team can provide custom-fitted mouthguards to give you and your family the best dental protection while keeping active.

How Mouth Guards Protect Your Teeth From Sports Injuries

Mouth guards are small, wearable devices that fit over your teeth to absorb the force of impact, protecting your mouth from damage. These devices are an easy and effective way to protect your teeth and gums from injury, especially if you participate in sports. According to the American Dental Association, it is recommended that both children and adults wear mouthguards if they participate in close-contact sports, including football, basketball, and martial arts.

As an indispensable piece of equipment, mouthguards are essential for children participating in sports. At least 25% of children’s dental injuries are sports-related, which can result in lost time from school and lead to high costs for their oral health. However, a properly-fitted mouth guard can prevent these injuries and give their teeth maximum protection.

Dr. Khurana will perform a diagnostic exam to determine any health concerns impacting your oral health. After discussing your oral health, Dr. Khurana can plan your treatment and help you select the best design for your custom-fitted mouth guard.

Mouth Guard Treatment Provided at Dental Care 4 U

At Dental Care 4 U, our team can provide custom-fitted mouthguards to protect the active members of your family. Each mouthguard we provide is individually made to fit your smile, and during your time with Dr. Khurana, he can provide you with a custom-fitted mouthguard through the following steps:

Person smiling while wearing their mouth guards
  • Dental Impressions: During your appointment with Dr. Khurana, he will create an impression of your teeth using traditional molding material. From there, a plaster cast is made from the mold to create a model of your or your family member’s teeth.
  • Lab Fabrication: The model will then be sent to our associated dental laboratory to be fabricated. It takes approximately two to three weeks for it to be made, and our practice will call you to pick them up.
  • Final Fitting: Once the mouth guard is made, our team will make sure the piece fits and make any adjustments to your mouth guard if necessary.
